Description
Russian singer Vasily Vakulenko is known by his stage name Basta. He was born in Rostov-on-Don in 1980. He studied at a music school and at the age of 15 began recording his first rap tracks, as well as forming his own group. This became the starting point of his creative career. His first success came with the track “My Game.”
After collaborating with the group “Psycholirik,” later renamed “Kasta,” Basta released his first album, but soon decided to pursue a solo career.
This decision prompted Vasily Vakulenko to move to Moscow, where fate brought him together with the well-known Bogdan Titomir, who took on the role of producer for the young rapper. This marked the beginning of work on his first official album, “Basta 1,” released in 2006 under the Gazgolder label. It was during this time that he met another popular rapper, Guf. Vasily’s talent allowed him to launch additional musical projects: the Noggano project began in 2007, and in 2008 the N1NT3ND0 brand appeared, characterized by a harsher and more raw sound.
The artist’s discography includes 22 studio albums. His hits have repeatedly become soundtracks for films and TV series. Basta’s concerts are always known for their friendly, heartfelt atmosphere. His performances consistently sell out. He has performed many times at “Luzhniki,” “Olimpiyskiy,” “Gazprom Arena,” and other major stadiums across Russia. Basta will begin his 2026 concert season with a performance in Phuket on the “Lotus Arena” stage. In Thailand, the rapper will perform time-tested hits and fresh new tracks.
